I was stationed at Ft. Weaver across the channel from Hickam Field. We were in possession of a 3-inch anti-aircraft position on December 7, 1941. This position consisted of 2 16-inch land based cannon and a battery of 155 mm shore cannon and the 3-inch AA outfit. In the town I now reside, we have a program every 7th of December at the American Legion Post. When we started, we had eight survivors, that has now dwindled down to five. |
