Charles John Popp
US Navy
USS Pennsylvania

The bomb that hit us during the second wave came through the boat deck and my living quarters (Casemate #9).  I lost everything I wasn't wearing.  It was the saddest day of my life.

I was exposed to two atomic bomb blasts at Bikini in 1946.
