I was at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. I was on a light cruiser, the USS St. Louis. We were tied up in the piers across from the submarine pens. We were tied out board along side the Honolulu and across the open water from the USS San Francisco. We were the first major warships to clear the Harbor after the attack started. |
