I was stationed aboard the USS Nevada, and we were tied up directly astern of the Arizona. I was going to go aboard the Arizona and my friend and I were to leave from there for Liberty and take in the sights. We never went ashore, and he was killed. I stayed aboard the Nevada for 6 years and was awarded 8 Stars. |
